Living in caves or even abandoned houses, the Jorōgumo lurks, waiting for her prey. This creature can shapeshift between the forms of woman and spider and only gains supernatural powers when she turns 400 years old.

In its female form, this ancient creature lures unsuspecting men into her lair. Here she ensnares them in unbelievably strong silk thread, which she has spun herself. From here, we think you know what she does next… Needless to say, the men are never seen again.

If you manage to resist her charms, don’t count yourself safe yet. Jorōgumo has been known to control a legion of small fire-breathing spiders. So if her feminine wiles don’t get you, her tiny minions just might.
