For children who refuse to go to bed, the Cuca is waiting for them. If a child attempts to stay up past their bedtime or tries to sneak out of bed once they’ve been ordered to sleep, the Cuca can detect their disobedience and will be outside their bedroom window in a flash. She is known for kidnapping and then eating these badly behaved children.
Appearing as an old lizard woman, she has reptilian features and alligator skin. She’s a frightening sight to behold, especially when she’s crashing through the bedroom window of a small child, ready to snatch them away.
Reports claim that she only needs to sleep one night every seven years (we’ve also heard talk that it may be as little as one night every decade), this would explain how she’s able to arrive swiftly in the middle of the night. She never tires and she’s always ready to pounce.
When trying to approach the Cuca, we recommend making sure you’re well rested and certainly don’t let her near any junior monster hunters.
