A fresh week, a fresh round of balance updates - this time with a few nods to your feedback and a stroll through the Black Forest.
We’ve heard the call: some World Cards could use a tweak, and we’re kicking things off with a small change to Black Forest. But it’s not all nerfs - this patch is packed with power-ups across a bunch of Hordes. Here’s the full list of changes:
Headless Horseman
New: On Draw, if you are losing, your Epic Grimbald cards, wherever they are, gain +15 Attack until played. If they are Epic North American cards, they gain an additional +15 Attack and get to keep it all permanently.
Notes: Now affects Grimbald cards instead of North American, splitting the effect: temporary +15 for Grimbald, with North American Epics receiving a total +30 that sticks. More nuanced, but broadly more flexible.
Bella in the Wych Elm
New: On Return, gain +12 Attack/Turn permanently.
Notes: Attack/Turn increased from +10 to +12, offering a stronger long-term buff.
Rusalka
New: When played, your Rare Slavic cards, wherever they are, gain +12 Attack until played.
Notes: Boost increased from +10 to +12, giving a small but effective upgrade to Slavic synergy.
Dhampir
New: On Play, for every Rare card in your hand, your Slavic cards in-hand gain +12 Attack this turn.
Notes: Buffed from +8 to +12 per Rare, making it a more explosive tempo tool for Slavic builds.
Black Forest
New:
At the start of each turn, your opponent's cards in hand that have been played at least once this game lose -12 Attack until played.
At the start of the game, for each Upgraded card in your hand, your Germanic cards, wherever they are, gain +3 Attack until played.
Notes: Attack debuff doubled (from -5 to -12), and mana cost penalty removed for unplayed cards. Now exclusively targets replayed cards more harshly. Germanic buff has been broadened from Common-only to all Germanic.
La Llorona
New: On Draw, for every Zerrofel card played by either player this game, your opponent loses -4 Attack/Turn this turn.
Notes: Now counts Zerrofel cards played by both players, not just you - increasing potential impact significantly.
