Artifact FAQs
Will Artifacts belong to a horde?
Yes, they have their own hordes - but they don't quite operate like traditional hordes. For example, Blood Vials appear under the Apothecary in the Synnig Alliance, while Athame is listed under Antiquarian in the Zerrofel Alliance. Soon, you’ll discover more of these like the Blacksmith in the Grimbald Alliance and the Trapper as part of the Rivin Alliance.
What packs do Artifacts drop in?
The Tools of the Trade pack in the store is the best way to get them at launch. Artifact cards are also available in packs that contain cards from a given Alliance (because they belong to an Alliance), as well as packs containing random cards. You won’t find Horde-specific booster packs for Artifacts just yet, as they’re still a little too small for dedicated booster packs.
Can I upgrade Artifact cards?
Some Artifact cards can be upgraded (those tagged as ‘consumable’) - take today’s release for example: Blood Vials are upgradeable, letting you unlock extra charges for your ability. On the other hand, Athame (non-consumable) isn’t upgradeable, meaning you get its full power right away.
